Beautifully done. If this were in color, it would have pulled away from the simplicity that just keeps tugging at the viewer to see more. What color is her lipstick? Does it matter? What color is the lighting? Don't answer...because if I were color blind...I would still feel the same, strong feeling.

The subject seems to have that deep sense of longing. Either for a loved one or one that should long for her. Regardless, the entirety of the picture seems to say so much more than it initially lets on.

It's captivating, beautiful, and heartbreaking. I would draw this and never be able to capture those feelings.

This looks very impressive. The title you've chosen is a thought-provoking one too "true face"; this makes me think that this is a piece about identity and personality. Her eyes are expressive and let us gaze into her soul - to me there is almost a sense of vulnerability, perhaps even loneliness, which is emphasised by the way she holds her hands to her chest. The lighting makes this piece even more striking, and adds to the atmosphere. I'm glad that you've chosen to make this image a monochromatic one as there are no colours to distract the viewer - it is simply black and white and sort of "direct" from the subject to the viewer. I feel as if I am looking into an apparent stillness, but it may in fact be the eye of the storm, so it is surrounded by chaos, or maybe the chaos lies within the subject. Ah, I love this piece, it makes me think a lot :) good job!

I agree that b&w was the only choice for a picture like this. The lighting could not be better and I like the way the hair frames her face. Black top and dark nail polish finalises the setup.

The title of the picture provides a certain angle to look at this picture and now that I do, I get also a sense of vulnerability. In addition, a bit of sadness and perhaps even a touch of insecurity and distrust towards the viewer with her hands kept close to her chest as if reluctant to open herself.

All in all, an excellent picture, me like! :)
