A stunning portrait. Truly. You can't tell if it was staged or not, which gives the viewer a large sense of impact. The editing technique along with shooting through the glass and its composition, really make this a powerful image. The tones really bring out he texture of her skin.
The only reason I didn't give this all 5's is because I have seen this done before plenty of times. Which I feel makes it not that original. However, your execution is one of the best. You should be proud, this deserves a DD for sure.
I was origlinaly attracted to your work by what I can only describe as being the painterly quality of your images, and this is another example of that quality. Colors lay on top of each other in a way that lends unity to the image: being both rich but not overwhelming to the composition. The depth of field compliments the focus of the image without bringing attention to the technical aspects of photography. And the richness of texture showcases the strength of what the application of photographic techniques can accomplish. The image is both intimate and engaging, telling a story while, at the same time, revealing none of the mystery of the subject. In all, a successful piece.
Could be possible more photos of Daria, plis? We are totally in love with your photography and your special perspective (Also with lights in your photos and this awesome naturalness, aw). We really enjoy your gallery and we're always here watching the same photos over and over again and never tired about it. Just in love with your eye and in love with all those freckles. In fact it is hard not to be in love with your gallery.
((And really thank you for let us discovering you))
I love it! Have you ever considered doing a step by step post where you show the original photograph unedited and have panels of edits you added? I LOVE your color choices and have been really interested in the process ^^
