First off, let me congratulate you on a job incredibly well done. This piece is absolutely gorgeous from the detail and work with the photo down to the border.
Your composition is nice, and I like that her gaze is directed away from the viewers eyes, this doesn't create a disconnect at all, instead it pulls me into the image.
The shallowness of the image and the use of black and white go hand in hand for a beautiful foreground and background that gives a little negative space, but at the same time keeping the detail there for us to see.
I would love to have seen you either zoom in just ever so slightly more or alternatively zoom out. You cut off just the tips of her hair, and it would have been amazing to have had every last part inside the image frame.
This photograph is simply beautifully dreamy. It is a moment to hold on and listen to yourself for a moment. I dont know how the grey gradient from the bottom comes up, but you managed a nice effect. Just, because it makes it dreamy. The right shoulder seems to merge with the background. That way it could show a ghost, or a dream about a beloved person. Another technique aspect is the blurry background. I think this aspect correlate with the impact and vision aspects. The impact also comes from the closed eyes. Apart from that: I think the vision is about content, substance and meaning. Substance can come from compound of technique and impact. So vision can emerge from the both of them. And here it is evident: The blurry background makes the person special, with a certain focus on her. Also the dream theme comes clear, to me - since, in dreams a blurry view is common.
