Well, I only have amateur photography skills and perspective at best so I'll do my greatest here.
First of all, I absolutely love how compelling this photograph is expressed as an emotive work. The mood and the level of emotion this says to the viewer is incredible, in large thanks to the excellent shot of the model. We as the audience can but wonder the story behind the subject and what she is trying to communicate to us; her message is quite a mystery but it makes this piece all the more intriguing. The winter scene is also a nice touch which strangely is ''toasted'' by the complimentary warm colours (and the clever lighting), such as the model's bright ginger hair and the deep red of her wardrobe fittingly balanced out by the white of her knitted scarf; all the same, the chill is still present thanks to the falling snowflakes and the icy complexion of this gorgeous model. All in all, the composition carries a peaceful, ethereal atmosphere set against the backdrop of a brisk winter.
Although, I must point out, while I am not a photographer to your skill by any means I can't help but notice how distracting the composition of the background is when more closely observed. I can't decide why exactly since the location this was shot at can't be helped. I can't determine whether it's because it's too out of focus or it's the blending of the colours with the foreground, like the oranges and blues of the house which pops out more than anything else in the background. Not to mention the placement of the foliage near the model seems off somehow. I don't know how these minor flaws would have been fixed, but perhaps if the model were shot at a different angle to where the scenery would compliment her? I also feel the direct focus of the model is awfully sharp, maybe a little too sharp. Perhaps the focus could have been softened?
Well, other than these minor corrections they definitely don't take away from the overall photograph and its impact. I have to say, I am in love with this piece and will most certainly return to your gallery. Keep up the excellent work!
This is gorgeous! The warm colors, even in winter, are a great touch. The blurred background looks busy, so it makes her look very peaceful. The snowflakes also make this picture look very tranquil in a lively sort of way. I love her hair, it's very soft, colorful, and romantic. To me, this picture seems to see this individual girl across a crowded room. Her presence is briefly considered amidst the bustling of everyday life. She has a surprisingly relaxed, almost reverential expression on her face among the outside business, as if she's in a different world. She's beautiful, really. This is a superb shot. The sheer excellence and precision of it is ubiquitous throughout the picture. Keep up the good work.
great image. The right bits are sharp, nice blurred background but the snow flakes keep your attention going. My adage is that if a picture sustains your attention for at least six seconds then it is a good image. This is an attractive image that keeps me looking.
